Love seeing tax season ballers saying they are going to go single or upgraded twins + PI + MT swap + blah blah blah..
Listen, if you can't afford to save money to buy these parts through out the year.. chances are you can't afford to do the build. And if you can it wont be everything you're expecting. There are more hidden costs that just buy a kit and bolt it on. Do something that doesn't require a lot of maintenance or even more upgraded parts.
Example: Upgrade suspension and diff.. you'd be amazed at how much better the car feels
Haven't replaced your VC yet? Injectors? Coilpacks? Gaskets? Do those first, trust me..
Yes!! Before I even got my JB4 back in January I did:
Spark Plugs
Coilpacks
Fluids(oil, trans, etc)
Tires
Suspension
Walnut Blast
Then JB4 and after JB4 I've been taking performance from efficiency instead of going instantly to DPs or FMIC. Exmaples being things like the stage 2 LPFP. The old one was dying and I hadn't planned on getting that yet but.. The new one overall is more efficient and has different limitations (E85 is usable now).
Also, don't forget all the software modifications:
Alpina B3 TCU, US Sport Flash, EU Sport Flash, etc..
MHD BEF / MHD
Preference coding options
SOON to be referenced transmission control.
At the end of the day you just gotta keep it healthy and don't just strap a bunch of Bolt-ons on and call it finished.
