No. Just OCD on the routing and spool wrapping the stock wires. Still have a little bit left to wrap
Well that's a pretty good job. I modified mine but that was before getting R8 coilpacks. Now I will have to re-do it, hoping to integrate it all in 1 harness.

I just think its a improvement that hasn't been addressed and would help show off the VC and provide a cleaner look for the engine bay. Hell maybe a small strip of carbon to cover it up would do the trick at least for the fuel rail itself, alternative is using the N55 mount for PR injectors. I must admit the wiring on these (R8??) coils looks extremely clean.

I've pitched a coil cover to no less than five people. @Snelson3003 did eventually make a CF cover but it doesn't check enough boxes for me personally.

I want a CNC'd part (or something that can be made in accurate shapes) to match the curves of the valve cover with slots for the fuel rails. Use this photo I edited to get an idea of what I want. Basically a fitted cap:

It won't be cheap, but I don't really care. This would look exponentially better than what we have.

What you are proposing is not possible. Coils protrude past that area, among other things, etc. We helped steven with clearances for his. He did about as good as it's going to get. You cannot have something like you pictured above. Well, I guess you could if you wanted to remove the coils for car shows, and put the cover on. But for a running N54, you cannot simply make parts in the way disappear.

Which coils are you speaking of? The R8 coils do sink down below this mark when fully seated. In the photo below you can see a couple sticking up and the rest pushed down:

Also there is no problem making a couple holes for coils to pop out providing cover to the rest of the area.

Which coils are we speaking of? The ones in your picture there. But hey I can already tell this road is not one we want to go down debating, by all means, someone make a nice cover that sits flush with the VC.

What Steven made is great as a product you can market and sell. What I've got in mind isn't really something I can see as very marketable due to the coil and valve cover variations since most people have the stock vc and even myself I currently have PR coils which would require some holes made for the could to stick out.

So I'm just going to have to find someone that shares my interest and just does it. If I could 3d model and Mill stuff at work then I would.

This is basically the same thing I’ve said I want as well, but a much better image of it. I would love to see this happen.

I can also do some modeling and machine coding if needed 20+ Years of 3D cad design as for the wire/coil covers over the valve cover if there were 6 points of attachments a cover plate could be made an various sizes of standoffs could be used. If someone has a 3D file sat, step or something of that nature..

A cover would only need 3 attachment points, B and C datums would just be panel edges in the mold, but I hear you.

I will draw some random versions at work Monday. I can take some rough dimensions from my spare engine on the stand. If I am sure with everything it can be done many different ways an still be correct.

This would be fantastic. I'm in the process of getting some scans, I've had a couple people say they can do it for me. Just waiting.

@AUbeast86 ~ I finally finished my updates of new VTT VC cover, plug kit, VTT Dual OCC and new charge pipe, to provide a little comparison between a twin and single setup. I'm waiting on a few VTT low orb fittings to replace the steel units in place and maybe some minor adjustments to the OCC hoses. WIll update once new orb fittings are in place.
