S58 intake manifold

So working on an s58 this morning, the manifold looks like it's already designed for port injection
Has spots in each runner for injectors as well as spots up higher from a rail/hold downs

No they are not removable, they look like they could be but they could easily be drilled out I'm sure. Either what Europe is gonna get or a factory water injection for a wild package. This current one in the pic is not a competition package car

Curious about the competition package maybe. We have 2 right now...

Interesting, I've seen the same thing on 2.0t VAG stuff aswell...

Just bosses, but it's all there.

So the problem here is that by the time PI would be required on these cars, that intake mani / W2A cooler is going to be a restriction well before. Assuming those HPFP are the same as on the A90 supra, and it has TWO of them, that is enough fuel for 800whp on ethanol blends and 900+ on race gas. So I don't see it ever being used for PI. Port meth for cooling, maybe.
