Wait I can't buy this from you and I would have to buy from VTT? You are not hitching your horse to the carriage with the best reputation, probably one of the worst of all the N54 vendors. Should have given the business to BMS if you wanted a sole distributor. BMS has a lot more experience with distribution, importing from other countries, and a stellar reputation. Let VTT dyno and get one at cost and let BMS distribute, if it is not too late. I'm guessing no contract has been signed and money exchanged for XX number of manifolds DDP.

Oh well, maybe I will find a used FF manifold for my direct port meth set up. VTT will never get a penny of my business, rather burn my money in a dumpster.

Shame as everything about this product so far has been stellar.

I have, but some may say I'm bias due to having a hand in development of it so I'm going to wait till Tony tests it.
And some may say whatever Tony concludes is biased since he is sole distributor. I dont think the cards were well played here. Testing and results should have been done BEFORE announcing a sole distributor. Also testing should have been done by an independent source, not the guys building it , nor the sole distributor. My .02c

We know the product makes power, proven on my car, no one can make everybody happy with the choices that would/could be made.

Let him test it and lets see the data.
Dont get me wrong. I LOVE the way it looks and it appears that it will flow well. Point is, I feel unbiased testing should have been done FIRST. THEN release the "sole distributor" say because VTT tested and saw gains, etc, etc.... As I said, cards werent played right in my opinion. Now YES, it will seem biased. Not saying it wont gain. But less think about that for a minute. What if, just what if ...VTT tests and sees no appreciable gains ? Now they would back track and say nah, we dont want it ? Or would they sell it based on looks ? Would they admit it did not gain and still sell it as an "upgrade" ? As I said, they should have tested first, then announced.

It would also be nice if the IM was tested on say a 600 or 700whp non built engine and head. A much more real world situation for most people and would show what the 'average upgraded turbo(s) enthusiast', and I use that loosely, could see. Seeing gains on an all out build is nice but not applicable to 99% of the customers.

Either way hopefully logs are provided. It would be very easy to make one intake manifold appear better on a dyno via tuning.

Yes it would that's why I provided my last graph with exactly the same tune and on a hotter day between the ff and the plazmaman, it made more power and this was before the manifold went into production.

I wouldn't waste my time to help produce a manifold that didn't work, period.

As far as I know Tony will be testing it on a stock engine with stock twins and with upgraded twins at some stage.

Guys, we'll test using the same methodology as before, something similar to this (we are the only vendors doing this stuff btw...):


Same tune, same fuel, same everything back to back with the FF manifold. 5 runs, best and worst thrown out, average of the remaining three. Look for a post from us soon announcing price/group buy intro/etc.

Very nice. It's your test and your nickel, but if there is a way to have temps on the motor be similar for your comparison tests, that would be cool. I think that was one of the things Tony mentioned on the old thread - that one intake benefited from a motor that sat cold overnight. Maybe just get everything temp stable and let the measuring shenanigans begin :joycat:. @Chris@VargasTurboTech, appreciate VTT doing testing and posting info, as well as all the info @martymil has been posting.

Maybe an IR temp measurement of the intake at the time of testing? Close to the valves and further away? Ohhh. An IR camera would be a neat visualization

We did stabilize temps for the last round, and we'll do it again for this one. That's definitely an important part of power testing.

Chris did yall ever complete the forward facing tests? I know yall had a bunch of different manifolds to test. I know seeing if its better than a stock location is good and all but I know most people looking at these style manifolds will be comparing it doc race and china manifolds.

Just to be clear, these are not “intake manifolds”. Rather, they are dual port injection plates that would fit between the intake manifold and the intake ports, right?

Its not my announcement to make but there is a couple of crazy cars in the USA that are going to be taking deliveries of these in the next week or so and be running these.
