Lets start here for fun:

If you could name the power figure you'd love to make on full DI E85, what number would make you happy?

650 full e85 with at least 30% extra pump room to cover for when the pump wears down since we all know how bad the hpfps wear down on their own, so if these are stock pumps just over spun then my outlook of the ideal pump wont happen. If it's a nea custom pump then they will win the market gaurnteed.

You disconnect your hpfp from the vacuum pump. Install this thing in between. Takes about 30 mins.
Wait . What? The SP Helix HPFP is not a replacement for the stock HPFP, but rather an additional pump that fits between the vacuum pump and the stock HPFP?

The Helix is an overdrive unit. It is a planetary gearset with helical gears that overdrives the HPFP. Install time is similar to HPFP replacement + a few mins.

Aren't the HPFPs pretty unreliable even at normal speeds? I've replaced one myself already.
I spray meth by the bucket load so the HPFP never goes that low.

To a degree. The 2nd gen from BMW are much more reliable than their 1st version. I would buy from FCPEuro with a lifetime warranty. So while you may burn through them faster, at least replacements will be free other than labor, yours or a shop.

Nothing wrong with meth!

My original HPFP has 106,000 miles on it and I see over 3000psi rail pressure. I am sure this will reduce the life some, but a new HPFP would probably out last the cars owners.

I feel like i've read this thread over three times. Is there a projected or listed price for this for when it comes out officially?

According to Spool, about 20 days til official release.
Price wise, you're looking at just under 900 for the unit. Not exactly plug and play as some voltage tuning for HPFP need to be adjusted, but i'm sure there will be an option for it in MHD soon.

I would have expected Spool to release some pricing, not sure why they haven't yet. I will say it's on par with what the single barrel is currently priced at.
