I been eyeballing the strut brace solution as inspiration for a design for the Z4:

The shiny rear brace design then a front brace if posible

Is it the engine that is interesting primarily or the package as a whole?

The entire package. I really dig the body lines, and the closed deck block, and the DCT. I wish I could swap a DCT into my xdrive 335. I'm sure it could be done, but I don't have an unlimited budget. My '10 E92 is closing in on 100k miles and I'm ready for an update. AWD will be missed, but I can live with RWD again.

Get an m2 if closed deck dct tickles you or just an is for the dct. That's the only budget option. A while ago I saw competition leases for 700 they were cheaper then the regular m and the m2 for that matter. Not sure if still around for that number but a 120g car for 7 beans a month is nuts

My MO is to buy used, preferably CPO, preferably something which has just come off lease. The 2016 models I've been looking at are "doable", as I don't do car payments. The M4 body lines appeal to me much more than the M2, which appears "stubby".

I mean if she doesn't what is the worse that happens? You get the big D?

Nah - the big D isn't really an option as we've been married for nearly 39 years. She still doesn't get my "car guy thing", so I just continue trying to enlighten her. She's not driven my E92 since it became "tastefully modified", but she did used to drive my big single turbo Supra back in the day - like she stole it. A bit of a stoplight assassin, she was. For now I'll just keep doing research until I find that one M4 which I gotta have, then we'll see if the, or how much, shit hits the fan.

Tell me your secret! I did learn I can never complain about the handbags. A few grand at a time is small time compared to car mods lol
