m2(n55) vs 240i

i currently own an f20 m135i and im planning to upgrade

i have never driven either back to back to make a solid decision but from other forum members opinions what car should i go for ?(m2comp is out of my budget probably for the next 2 years minimum)

power (the b58 especially stage 2 is playing games in my mind)

in that order. i do track events about twice times a year.

Handling as in laptimes or how it feels to drive?

Most BMWs can be made to handle well by simply upgrading tires and adding camber plates and sway bars. But the feel will be better when having M suspension components, primarily due to stiffer bushings and suspension.

Many of the M features are also more suitable for track use (oil sump, dct, diff etc), and you just have to swap to track brake pads + fluid to get started. But you would want to keep the power stock or close to on the M2. Its cooling system isn't as capable as the M2C.

I'd rather start from the M2 suspension than non-M if I could do it all again. If you want power, I think speedtech has a "big" ST N55 kit, or Pure has a great S2 N55 turbo. Plus supporting mods of course.

Less work all around IMO.
